Elfriede Jelinek, Nobel Prize for the Literature 2004, shortly after the reunification of two Germanies wrote a small book: “Clouds.House.”. Jelinek in this text explores and reinterprets some texts from Germany history (Holderlin. Hegel, Heidegger, Kleist, letters of the RAF). She says: “Clouds. House. is born as text for the theatre: not as play, but as monologue. I always imagined on the scene one of the three Nornes kniting while an old German radio of the ” Nazi epoch” plays the text. In this text-collage Jelinek affirms to be contrary to Germany reunification. The title of the book comes from “Wolkenkuckucksheim” (country of the abundance) formed by the terms: cloud, house, cuckoo. The clouds symbolize the untangible, the house the contrary one. Using the Jelinek words': “Two opposites not in harmony, but linked from this place of dreamlike fantasy”. For me the radio turned on has the same function for time (in a collective / universal dimension): a present that immediately becomes the past, of whom the interpretation is quite susceptible.
Elfriede Jelinek, premio Nobel per la Letteratura 2004, poco dopo la riunificazione delle due Germanie ha scritto un piccolo libro chiamato “Nuvole.Casa.”. La Jelinek in questo testo reinterpreta e fonde testi provenienti dalla storia della Germania (Holderlin. Hegel, Heidegger, Kleist, lettere della RAF). Come lei stessa dice: “Nuvole. Casa. è nato come testo per il teatro: non come dramma, ma come monologo. Ho sempre immaginato sulla scena una delle tre Norne, intenta a lavorare a maglia una calza, mentre il testo proviene da una vecchia radio tedesca del”epoca nazista…”. In questo testo-collage la Jelinek afferma di essere contraria alla riunificazione tedesca. Il titolo del libro viene da Wolkenkuckucksheim (paese della cuccagna) formato appunto da nuvole-casa-cuculo. Tralasciando l’ultimo elemento, le nuvole simbolizzano il non tangibile e la casa il contrario. Usando ancora le parole della Jelinek: “Due poli contrari che non si armonizzano, ma che sono legati da questo luogo onirico della fantasia”. Per me la radio accesa ha un po’ la stessa funzione a livello temporale – estesa a una dimensione più collettiva/universale – di un presente, che diventa immediatamente passato, la cui interpretazione è del tutto suscettibile.
